We understand how important it is to protect your privacy while online, so here’s a run through of the information we need from you while you shop online, and what it’s used for
What is a 'cookie'?
A cookie is a text file that contains small amounts of information that is downloaded to your computer, mobile or other device when visiting a website. These cookie files are then transmitted back to our website each time you subsequently visit. These are helpful as they allow our website to recognise your device. Types of cookies include:
These are cookies that stay on your computer, mobile or other device for a specified period of time and are activated every time the barefaced bee website (the site that that created the specific cookie) is visited.
These are temporary cookies that allow our site to remember what you have in your shopping basket. These cookies only last while the browser session (from when an Internet browser window is opened until it is closed). Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed.
Cookies perform a wide range of different functions, such as letting you move between pages efficiently, storing your preferences, and generally enhancing the online visitor experience. More information about cookies can be found at www.youronlinechoices.eu.
We have classified the cookies used on our website using the classification developed by the International Chamber of Commerce UK. This is to help give you more information about which cookies are used, their purpose, and the functionality that will be lost if you select to not allow them on your computer, mobile or other device.
Strictly necessary cookies
These cookies enable functions and services visitors have specifically requested and are required to allow you to navigate around the website. No consent is required for these types of cookies as they are strictly necessary and in the absence of these, cookies services asked for, such as shopping baskets, would not be able to be provided.
These cookies remember selections you have made to enhance the online experience. In using our website, you agree that we can use these types of cookies on your computer, mobile or other device. These cookies allow our website to remember selections you make and allow us to offer more personal features.
Content management cookies may also be used by the site in order for the website content management system to work.
Using browser settings to manage cookies
If you do not have cookies enabled you will not be able to shop at barefacedbee.com, apart from browsing the website. As a result you will need to have cookies enabled to be able to place orders on our site. The majority of web / internet browsers automatically have cookies enabled. If you would like to opt out of cookies you can block them in your internet browser settings, but please note that this may cause issues when ordering from our and other sites.
